The EcoSmartHome project is receives funding support from The EECA ENERGYWISE™ Funding programme. Under this scheme generous subsidies are available for certain insulation and efficient heating products. If you purchase a product package, EECA will provide a grant equal to 33% off the cost of insulation (up to a maximum of $1,300 inc GST) and $500 (inc GST) towards the cost of an EECA registered space heating appliance (once your home is properly insulated). If you’re a Community Services Card holder, and you own and live in the home, EECA provides an insulation grant of 60% of the cost of insulation (inc GST) and up to $1,200 (inc GST) towards the cost of an EECA approved space heating appliance (once your home is properly insulated). If you’re own a home where the tenant is a Community Services Card holder, EECA provides an insulation grant of 60% of the cost of insulation (inc GST) and $500 (inc GST) towards the cost of an EECA registered space heating appliance (once your home is properly insulated). To qualify for a subsidy the home must be a residential dwellings built prior to 1 January 2000. Grants may be taken separately.
