Project Funding

The EcoSmartHome project is receives funding support from The EECA EnergyWise™ Funding programme.

Under this scheme generous cash subsidies are available for certain insulation and efficient heating products.

If you purchase a product package, EECA will provide a grant equal to one third off the cost of insulation (up to a maximum of $1,300 inc GST) and $500 (inc GST) towards the cost of an EECA approved space heating appliance (once your home is properly insulated).

If you’re a Community Services Card holder, and you own and live in the home, EECA provides an insulation grant of 60% of the cost of insulation (inc GST) and up to $1,200 (inc GST) towards the cost of an EECA approved space heating appliance (once your home is properly insulated).

If you’re own a home where the tenant is a Community Services Card holder, EECA provides an insulation grant of 60% of the cost of insulation (inc GST) and $500 (inc GST) towards the cost of an EECA approved space heating appliance (once your home is properly insulated).

To qualify for a cash subsidy the home must be a residential dwellings built prior to 1 January 2000.

Grants may be taken separately.

EnergyWise™ grants are available for:

A Homeowner’s primary place of residence; and/or
Each of any residential tenancies a Homeowner may own.
